Regular monthly meeting, 7:30 PM. Our guest speaker will be Mr. Joe Bilby, Civil War author,
Historian and firearms expert. His topic will be Civil War Firearms.
May 20, 2008 Annual dinner meeting, 6:00 pm. Our guest speaker will be Mr. Robert MacAvoy,
speaking on "Our Brothers Gone Before": Civil War Soldiers buried in Sussex County and in N.J.
Location is the Lafayette House in Lafayette, N.J. Cost is $25.00 per person.

Regular monthly meeting, 7:30 PM. Our guest speaker will be Mr. Ed Bonekemper, author of
numerous books on the Civil War. His topic will be his new book on Grant and Lee.
Oct. 21, 2008 Regular monthly, 7:30 PM. Our Guest speaker will be Mr, Les Jensen, curator of the
West Point Military Academy Museum. His topic will be the origins of the West Point Museum, from
it's beginnings up to the year 1870.
Nov. 18, 2008 Regular monthly meeting, 7:30 PM. Our guest speaker will be Mr. Glen LeBoeuf.
His presentation is entitled " A House Divided: Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln".
January 20, 2009: Regular monthly meeting, 7:30 PM. Movie night!
February 17, 2009: Regular monthly meeting. Our speaker will be Professor Peter Lubrecht. His
topic will be President Lincoln goes to the Theatre. This talk will include the plays Lincoln saw,
the actors he knew and his son Tad's theatrical appearances. Also the story of how Lincoln helped
a producer in court when Lincoln was a lawyer.
MARCH 17, 2009: Regular monthly meeting, 7:30 PM. An evening with Major General Winfield
Scott Hancock. Our guest speaker, Mr. John Deppen will appear as Union Major General
Hancock.
April 21, 2009: Regulat monthly meeting, 7:30 PM
May 19, 2009: Our annual dinner meeting. Details to be announced.

Local Events of Interest
August 24, 2008: Civil War Living History. Located at the Neldon-Roberts Stone House
Route 206 North, Montague Township, N.J. (Just South of the Milford Bridge) Hours 1-4 PM.
Military encampment, with demonstrations of drill, musket firing and Military life. President Lincoln
will review the troops and talk with the public.
September 6+7 2008: Victorian Days, Belvidere N.J.
October 3-4, 2008: Skirmish at Pochuck! Civil War Living History Weekend. Located in
Glenwood, Vernon Township, NJ. (Intersection of routes 565 and 517, about 1/2 mile from the
Vernon Township High School) Federal and Confederate Civil War camps, Skirmish on both
days, Memorial Service at the Glenwood Cemetery on Saturday at 1:00 pm. Civil War Sutlers will
